NEST is primarily there for musicians, but cultural organisations and venues can make use of NEST too. Find out on this page what NEST can do for your cultural organisation!
Many venues would like to start investing in development, but lack the expertise and in-house staff to work that part out properly. Or they already have artists-in-residence, but want to be able to offer them more support. Well, all I can say is: welcome to our NEST!
With HOTBEDS, I offer long-term artist support together with your cultural venue:
NEST selects bands or musicians together with you in whom we see potential and who we can help further on their career path with the expertise we have.
The exact content of the HOTBED trajectory in your venue is modular and is determined together with NEST. As a cultural venue, you choose the number of musicians yourself and whether NEST will guide these musicians for 1 or 2 years. In addition to career coaching and expanding their network, would you also like to include an international component, or involve an expert committee, or also offer the musicians a residency and possibly a performance? All is possible!
Do you have a number of artists-in-residence who you want to offer extra support, but you are not ready yet for the HOTBEDS, then call on NEST's Aviation 2.0, with separate artist support sessions. You choose how many individual sessions you want to offer your musicians; NEST does the rest.
Parallel to individual musicians, cultural organisations can also engage NEST for help with funding applications.
NEST organises Flock Sessions for musicians. These are informal gatherings, round-table discussions and workshops for peer learning.
But Flock Sessions are also useful for cultural organisations:
Apart from these NEST activities, Lobke can also be hired for freelance production work, for instance.
